My Approach

I cultivate a supportive and trusting environment, guiding artists, institutions, and organizations through their creative processes, while fostering a space where vulnerability and authenticity can thrive.

Whether clients come with a developed vision or a nascent desire to do something, I help them through a rigorous visioning residency. This includes setting goals, creating schedules, and providing the structure they need to bring their art into reality.

As a lead producer, I bring artistic visions to life by combining thoughtful planning, deep listening, and a justice-oriented lens. I create environments that encourage openness and imagination, guiding artists to craft impactful work through structured mentorship and personalized support. My leadership ensures every project, from ideation to production, maintains excellency and encourages teamwork. Whether I’m directing performances that inspire audiences or helping artists navigate their creative processes, I approach everything with intentionality, a sense of community, and a deep commitment to empowerment. My approach not only delivers great results, but also aims to support everyone involved in the creative journey.

Where vision meets execution, and art meets impact.

Where vision meets execution, and art meets impact.

  • “Working with Dria Brown over the last five years has been transformative for the growth of Britton & The Sting. Her unwavering commitment, attention to detail, and genuine care have lifted our entire journey, from ideation to production, along with everyone we encounter in sharing our work. Her support ensures that everyone involved—band members, designers, managers, agents, and more—rises to her highest standards. She listens deeply, pushes each artist forward, and sets a bar that challenges us all to be better. My work wouldn’t be where it is today without Dria’s exceptional support and vision.”

Dria’s deep industry knowledge, extensive connections, and genuine care for your humanity make her an invaluable partner in bringing ideas to life. Truly one of a kind. ”

    - Tiffany Mann, Award Winning Broadway Performer and Powerhouse

  • “Dria Brown is an incredible director, creative producer, and ultimately artistic leader that curates spaces of healing, vulnerability, and community. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her through the Broadway Advocacy Coalition as an Artivism Fellow- her organization, commitment, and transparency created a space for bravery and safety as an artist. Brown also directed my debut solo show at Joe's Pub, two days after the election. Multiple audience members shared that they felt alive due to the performance after the feeling of numbness because of the election- that feedback is hugely because of the leadership, intentional curation, and organization of Dria Brown.”

    - Ari Afsar, Singer, Composer, and Activist

  • “Dria showed me that it is possible for individuals in positions of power in our art sector: to hold themselves accountable to their artists. Dria's willingness to listen, learn, and adjust to the concerns of an artist while maintaining her own ethic is invaluable + rare. Her example is needed and is crucial.”

    - UGBA, BAC Artivism Fellow 2023

  • “During my nine-month fellowship with BAC, Dria served as a mentor, coach, and producer, providing personalized guidance while seamlessly balancing broader organizational responsibilities. Her energy, creativity, and ability to make complex work accessible are unmatched. Dria doesn’t just lead projects; she creates spaces where people and ideas thrive. Working with her has been a privilege I’ll carry forward in my creative journey."
